Euphoria Girl Goes To Baltimore

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“–so long as I get SOMEWHERE,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”

~Alice in Wonderland

So it was with this sentiment that I came to be where I am today. I got here because I needed to get SOMEWHERE so I picked Austin, TX and began my adventures in this wonderful, exciting, weird and very mad place. I have grown, blossomed and explored the world outside my comfort zone. I have made incredible friends who have helped me learn lessons and figure out who I am and who I want to be. It has been grand and wonderful.

But it’s time for a new adventure.

My relationship with Austin was never meant to be forever. It was an adventure that I desperately needed and like any great adventure, it has changed me. I am no longer lost and wandering and indifferent to where I go. I am confident and happy and I do very much care where I go next.

I have decided on Baltimore.

I miss the east coast and being near my family. I feel isolated in this central Texas oasis and I need a place where I can spread my wings and explore. Moving will be scary, but that’s part of what makes it so exciting!

Here’s to my next adventure!

(an update): And then there was that time I decided to move to Baltimore but suddenly got so homesick for Austin that the thought of leaving became too much to bear. So I changed my mind. Because I can. Austin, I just can’t quit you!

Oh wow! Good luck! I hope you take us all with you when you go. Will you stay in the same job or will you try something new? x
